	Julie and I had an incredible experience, not just the fantastic diving but the wonderful hospitality of all the island team. We are already planning a return visit, something that is usually taboo in our travelling philosophy. Andy has an amazing artists eye for what will work and should be proud of what he has achieved here. And yes, JoJo, incredibly, does have a sense of humour! One word of warning, though, taking the Sangat Island Iced Tea Challenge is not a game for the underprepared. Cheers!

	We came with an open mind and low to middle expectations. What we received was a first class welcome and five star treatment. Andy and his team on Sangat Island have got it exactly right. We don't normally go back to the same place, but I think on this occasion we just might have to. Our trip was just over a week on the island, we could have easily managed a week more.

	Experience:
	Sangat is a beautiful tropical, unspoiled island. It is just as nice (and less spoiled) than some islands in the Caribbean, South Pacific or Hawaii. The staff was very friendly and hospitable and the food was excellent. But this is a nature reserve - don't expect golf courses and swimming pools (who needs that, anyway). The coral reef and marine life are absolutely beautiful.

	We spent 10 lovely days there and our expectation was fullfilled .There was a wonderfull landscape phantastic nature . We had a very good time with snorkeling ,and it was a great experience diving with Jojo Lorenz , the Watersports Manager. We enjoyed the meals and the perfect and individual service of the very friendly staff.

	We took our family to Sangat for Easter and many many thanks to Andy for all the emails in reply to our many questions and queries. A great big thank you for arranging the internal flights and overnight accommodation for us all. We were very grateful for all the help with the grandchildren i.e. nappies and cots etc it made things so easy for everyone. Our three grandchildren age 7, 3, and 18month had an amazing holiday and really enjoyed all the sea sun sand and the dogs. Two of our party completed their open water with Jo Jo and had a fantastic time and are now keen to dive again. We really enjoyed our boat safari and got to see some truly amazing places with a great crew who looked after us with great food too. If you have a chance do have the massages they are amazing and so relaxing. Thank you to everyone for helping all of our family to have such an amazing holiday in such a great location and with such a friendly team to look after you.

	10 April 2012. Heaven on earth exists! This is a "Sangat island Dive Resort". Virgin, virgin nature: golden beaches, cliffs, mangrove forests, blue sea. Excellent service, friendly staff, well organized diving. All this against a background of bamboo huts, roofed with palm leaves (by the way in these huts bathroom with shower and toilet) Food is simple, but quite decent, and includes the European and local cuisine, buffet style. Paradise, and I'm glad I have been there.

	We spent Christmas 2011 at Sangat Island. Except the website info We did not know what to expect of the resort . Everything; accommondation, food, bar, surroundings was just perfect. And super service! We did our OWD certificates in JoJo's professional guidance and yes, we got bitten by "diving bug". We can strongly recommend the resort even if one is not yet a diver. 	My partner and I rented the Robinson Crusoe cottage for the month of February. We'd looked everywhere on the internet for something like it and there really was nothing comparable in terms of privacy and beauty. The cottage is on Kalitang beach, a stunning sweep of white sand, under the vertiginous jungled mountain that towers over the island. Every night we fell asleep to the gentle sounds of the monkeys, and the mornings were brought by a cacophony of tropical birds and a flash of red as the sun rose. The cottage is simple and comfortable, tucked behind a casuarina tree, embedded in the fringes of the jungle that reaches down to the beach front. The kitchen consists of a two ring gas hob, a large fridge freezer and all the equipment you would need to prepare simple meals. We cooked mostly fish, either frying them, or building a fire on the beach and using the grill they made for us (we'd imagined that they might buy one from town, instead of which a freshly soldered one appeared the next day). The main room is floored with dark spilt bamboo cane, making it easy to brush the inevitable sand between the slim gaps in the wood. It has two large windows facing each other, covered with netting - we left them open all the time for the relief of the occasional breezes. There is a large double door that leads to the veranda - we would lye in bed in the morning with them both wide open and take in the view of the sea and Coron Island far off in the distance - we called this 'widescreen'. We had two hammocks that we strung between the palms in the shade by the edge of the beach. I spent most of my time there, either reading or struggling with a tapestry. We mustn't omit the all important inverter that kept Ben's laptop charged; he was writing a book and I was just reading them, lots of them. Everything was run on solar power - we had a problem with the inverter in the beginning but it was quickly sorted out by the wonderful electrician at Sangat. The water around the beach is home to so many stunning tropical fish and carpeted with the most beautiful coral. We saw two sting rays disappearing into the deep, but only saw the local turtle from the speed boat. Not a ten minute paddle around the corner is a sunken Japanese gun boat that is only two meters under the surface. The bathroom is a tiled room with a cold shower (there really is no need for hot water there), a toilet which you flush with a bucket of water, and a sink. The water is provided from a large tank hidden in the jungle. We had this topped up once when we had almost run out. The cottage is provided with a kayak. We would paddle around to the main resort - a journey that would take about twenty minutes. Some nights the water was too choppy to paddle home, in which case we would be bundled into a speed boat and taken home. Once a week a cruise ship would dock in the bay and in the morning a handful of guests would come to the beach for a couple of hours. We didn't mind, especially as the ship's owner, a chatty man who seemed to be dressed as a pirate, would bring us beer and bananas. Any problem that we had was quickly answered by the attentive staff - all we had to do was send a text and our problem was solved. We ordered our food in the same way, or occasionally I would get the boat to Coron Town and go to the wonderful market there. We treated ourselves occasionally to meals at the resort and it was always a nice break from preparing our own food. I had my birthday dinner there and the staff prepared us a special candlelit table by the beach and had made me a delicious cake. The food was of a high standard, always some beautiful fish, tasty beef and lots of vegetables which I knew to be hard to come by and rather expensive from my shopping trips to Coron Town. Gem, the lovely, kind hearted masseuse of Sangat not only soothed my aching muscles (their only exertion being the paddling admittedly), but she took us to visit Culion, her home town. It was especially interesting to visit this fascinating ex-Leper colony with a resident. We took a tricycle deep into the island, the only problem being the loss of my sandals from the back of it - the scenery was too stunning for me to notice their escape. There is so much to say about our time there but I mustn't go on. It will will stay with us forever and when the number 35 bus gets stuck in the quagmire of traffic at Elephant and Castle, I close my eyes and hear the low barking of the monkeys, and watch again the fish eagles flying low over the still water at sunset. Thank you to all at Sangat for what was an extra special adventure and which must be the most relaxing holiday on earth.

	Our family spent a few days on Sangat Island. The view from our bungalow was spectacular. Pure tropical paradise. Spent a great day kayaking and snorkelling on Coron Island, Went wreck diving - our first time - quite amazing. Staff were very friendly and reliable. The only negative was our stay was too short.

	I thought that I had died and gone to heaven. This was the perfect Paradise Island. From the initial greeting of coconuts and food to the fantastic diving and the silence at night with star studded skies it is truly one of the most beautiful places I have been to. We came for the diving and were given a great time by JoJo and Caloy; both knew how to look after our group and offer us the diving we wanted to experience. Inside some of those wrecks for 30 minutes was amazing. Our best day was the trip to dive at Black Island finishing off with a dip in the hot springs with a cold beer. Magic.I just loved everything about the whole holiday. It was a sad day when we had to leave but we are thinking of returning one day - hopefully not too far in the future!

	When you go on a holiday, the three main things you are looking for, is to relax, to stay in comfortable surrounding, and to experience something new. Sangat Island certainly provide all of these. The island itself is beautiful and relaxing, and the dive trips operating from there are certainly some of the best I have had. The lodgings were quaint, and the three buffet meals a day were superb, well received, and 5 star. Thanks Andy for showing us around the island and the villa, and thanks to your team for taking good care of us. Thanks Jo for the excellent wreck diving and local knowledge. 	Perfect place in this beautiful part of Palawan (one of my favorite spots in the Philippines). My second time at Sangat and definitely not my last. This time stayed in their truly secluded Lambingan Villa with private beach and great snorkeling just on your doorstep. Great diving of the wrecks and day excursion to Coron Island with snorkeling and swimming in Kayangan lake, Twin Lagoon and Seven Islets. Best hidden secret! Bungalows are native style with veranda's. Food in buffet style was excellent and the bar is the ideal meeting point. Small resort so people mingle easily which makes it very friendly and relaxed. Great staff where it shows that they like to work at Sangat! The dive instructors Giorgio and Luma are definitely an added value! We will be back. Salamat po, Jean and Marion

	My boyfriend and I just absolutely love this place! We will be sure to return again and again and will always book the Lambingan Villa. It's the very place to just relax, lose all sense of time and responsibilities, and basically de-stress. The place is beautiful, just nature at your very doorstep. The staff is absolutely wonderful, always all smiles and will take care of everything for you. The guests are very friendly and it's just like one big family. We had quite a bad experience with the airline on our return flight, but Andy and his staff just went above and beyond the call of duty to help us out, for which we are extremely grateful. You just won't find another resort like this! My best to Andy, Ruby, Roan and the rest of the amazing staff! We'll see you again for sure! :)

	Sangat cannot be compared to hotels with all mod cons but in its own class of resort i.e.Robinson Crusoe type experience with excelent catering superb diving and staff that could not be more helpful and friendly this resort in our view deserves a four star rating. Some things will be improved as time goes by but for now we say Andy dont change anything.

	It's my second visit and first for my wife. Beautiful place, great service. The staff were all very friendly and very attentive to our needs. We got a hilltop/treetop chalet which is right on the cliff. Literally there were monkeys on our toilet window. How wild and close to nature can you get? If they bother you, just make a dog barking sound. The monkeys don't like 'Shadow', Sangat Resort's resident guard dog. Kudos to Andy and his crew for making Sangat island the way it is. =D

It was definitely worth the price staying a few days at the Villa. To have an own beach and absolute privacy with the peace and quiet there gave us lots of relaxation. Your staff was always very smiley so we just had to feel good. Sent Jojo our love and thank him and his team for the fantastic diving through all the holes at the wrecks. 	We really enjoyed our stay in Sangat, the set up of the beach cottages are very good. The island is as good as it gets, nice beach, plenty of reef and marine life. Kayaking to either side of the island is very rewarding with the reefs, especially on calm seas. The water is so clear. Diving staff is very helpful, there are dives every 2 hours, so you can join when you like. The dive sites are first class diving, reef or wreck. Diving highlites: a sea snake, giant spotted puffin fish and lionfish. The staff are friendly and have good energy, adding to the good ambience. The food is tasty with awesome seafood in the buffet. We travelled two weeks in Palawan /Dec 2010 and Sangat was the best resort we stayed at. I would definitely come back again.

Sangat is definitely one of the most beautiful islands in the world; a truly exotic place where we had a fantastic 11 days in September 2010. It has absolutely everything that a tropical island is meant to have ? lush vegetation, jungles full of wildlife, turquoise lagoons, and even more ? Lambingan Villa, amazing dive sites, and even its own hot springs! We were absolutely delighted to stay in the Lambingan Villa, and we would definitely recommend it to everyone who has a chance to stay there. By paying a bit more you get your very own piece of island, with amazing private beach and a shower built in the rock! What a great idea! The food was very tasty; we especially enjoyed the meals with lobsters and king prawns :)) and to mention once again about diving; the wrecks were amazing, we loved the underwater cathedral; also the reefs are very beautiful, with lots of healthy soft and hard corals. We?re especially grateful to our diving instructor Jojo. It was our first experience with wrecks and diving with him was pleasure. We are looking forward to coming back and seeing you all again soon! 	A little piece of heaven. We wanted to finish our first trip to Palawan in style, and we weren't disappointed. Sangat, underwater and above water 'ticked' all our boxes. The resort is well run by attentive, exceptionally friendly and efficient staff and of course the dogs! The cottages are clean and comfortable, and the standard alot higher than our other experiences. The food was excellent; varied, fresh and plentiful. This is a resort where you can do as little or as much as you like at your own pace. Snorkeling and diving were both excellent, made even more pleasureable by JoJo and his team :O) A special 'Thank you' to our 'Sunshine' We'll be back!

	Even though we spent only one day there, I will always remember that heaven on earth. Great atmosphere, great beach and good snorkelling. Watching the monkeys in the early morning was interesting. Cottages are marvellous and food was yummy. We were welcomed by a happy staff and a real coconut to drink. Andy was kind enough to offer us visiting Culion where we spent 2 hours walking in the streets of this beatiful small island town. 	Our stay in Sangat Island was full of enriching and wonderful experiences that made it a very special visit! It was there that we completed our last two training dives on the WWII shipwrecks, which certified us as open water divers--and that wouldn't have been possible if not for our kind and very patient instructor, Jojo. He was very considerate and taught us well. There were other people there who were so kind to us during our stay on the island--Luma, the Visayan cook, who prepared fantastic meals, Elsie with her smile and humor, Brian the cool bartender, and the resort owner, Andy. They were all very accommodating, warm and friendly. Andy and everyone on the staff made us feel welcome and comfortable. Aside from diving, we had a great time snorkeling and an awesome jet-ski tour. Caloy, our jet-ski guide, won?t forget us as he had the time of his life witnessing Riz's "spectacular" jet-ski driving skills ;-). He was a fun and skillful guide. We explored the mangrove forests along with several other great sights. Sangat Island is a wonderful experience. The Lambingan villa and private beach, in fact the entire resort setting, are truly unique. We had fun traversing the hanging bridge, and kayaking back and forth. There are many reasons why Sangat Island will remain very special in our hearts. We have many fond memories of our stay there and hope to return someday. Clay & Rizzy

	My stay at Sangat was the best vacation I have ever had. It was perfect; from the location, the activities, the lodging, and especially the staff. My 7 days on the island would not be the same without the friendly, fun, and big-hearted staff. Luma, the chef cooked great meals and was a pleasure to talk to every night. Brian, the bar tender, was very funny and entertaining. He definitely gives Sangat Island a fun personality. Annalynn, the bartender was lovely and gracious when she beats me in pool. JoJo, Elsie, and Bing were wonder dive masters who are also a pleasure to hang out with. Ro-anne, the hostess, was very informative and made sure everything went smoothly. The rest of the staff always had a smile on their faces and made me feel like I was family. I will definitely come back in the future and will refer all my friends and family to this beautiful resort.

	We had the fortune to be there during Christmas week. We have dive plenty around SE Asia, and this is the best diving vacation we have had. The reason? Everything. The resort is great with a beautiful and quiet setting. Andy and his staff have done a great job building and maintaining Sangat, congratulations. Jojo is a great diving instructor and took great care of us, along with Elsie, and the rest of the diving staff. Just awesome diving not only the wrecks, but some reefs as well. All of which are within a 15 min. ride from the resort. We had the fortune that our kids were able to spend time with Andy's girls and Jojo's daughter as well as other kids related to the staff. What a great bunch of kids, very very courteous, with beautiful smiles, just a happy bunch. Trully appreciate that they have become good friends with our kids. The food, wow! Trully of a 5 star restaurant, fresh and super delicious! Another blessing for us is that we got to have lechon three times! But the seafood was also to die for. Of course, we gained some weight, but well worth it. Just a great for all of us. We can't wait to get back to Sangat and do more exploration of the islands and wrecks. Finally, the dive safari was also unique, our own yacht with our own cook, the best cook and now good friend. Luma won our hearts right away, and our taste buds just couldn't resist her food. What a great service exploring further and only the four of us with our guide. Highly recommend it. Just wish we had turned on the AC at night in the boat as we did not get much of a breeze during the night. But it did not matter, we loved the trip. Thank you Andy for an unforgettable vacation, amongst the top for us. We look forward to coming back in the near future. Cheers

	a great unspoilt and beautiful small size resort to chill out and learn everything on scubadiving with Bing, Joe Joe and Elsie, patient and thorough guides to our first steps into scuba diving. you will dive to spot unparalled reefs everywhere,with stunning shipwrecks. we loved the eco friendly bungalows, the food, the billiard-pool, plenty good drinks at the bar and very friendly atmosphere. One will shortly feel more belonging to a community than a client of a standard resort. 	Sangat is simply one of the most beautiful Island Resorts around. There is only one resort on Sangat Island and it feels like one has returned to Paradise. The setting and views absolutely cannot be beat. The bungalows are comfortable, and the food is good (and I am picky). I have done a lot of diving and the wreck diving here is unique in my experience. It is not for the inexperienced and it is vastly preferable to be nitrox certified since the dives are relatively deep and square. The dives are often penetration dives that spend quiet a lot of time in the interior of the ships. Passages are occassionally narrow and dark. The dive team, however, is very competent and quickly puts one completely at ease. Also, one should be aware that Sangat Island is at least half an hour closer to the wrecks than any location in Coron Town. If you come to Sangat, you will not be disappointed.

	Sangat was a true Paradise, everything we hoped for when we booked our stay there: small, intimate resort, not ridiculously luxurious, ecologically conscious (it feels like a park almost), great food and plenty ice cold beers. There was enough to do to feel quite busy relaxing and diving. The service was excellent, but not in your face, which is a great balance. Speaking of the diving: this is the perfect place for wreck diving. Imagine 180 meter wrecks at 50 to 130 feet depths (we entered one wreck at 95 feet through the pitch black hole of the prop shaft - adrenaline anyone?), schools of jacks, large Spanish mackerel, beautiful lion fish, more scorpion fish and nudibranch than you can imagine, healthy reefs, and good visibility. The diving was spectacular. Overall, I hope to have the opportunity to return one day. For now I recommend Sangat to everyone else.

You have an amazing place there and its is a perfect balance of solitude if you want it, a selection of activities if you want them and just enough people to have a good evening sat around the bar. The exclusivity of the resort is also just right with it being to much hassle for alot of people to be bothered with to get there and priced right to make it affordable but not too cheap that any tom dick and harry can stay there. 	Sangat is paradise on earth. You commune with nature amidst lush foliage and environmental preservation. You will completely be transported to what nature can best offer-- surrounded by clear blue waters, monkey, hornbills, hotspring,etc. At the same time there is history in shipwreck diving. Its truly amazing that there is still such a place here on earth as beautiful as Sangat. Not to mention that it is the safest place in the philippines for there are virtually no typhoons, earthquakes and other natural calamities. The is almost nil natural calamities. Keep the place nice and beautiful.
